Dennis, 38, studied history at the University of San Francisco and earned a master’s in political sociology at the London School of Economics. He worked in nonprofit organizations for over 10 years, most recently for Mission Hiring Hall, an organization that helps people find jobs in San Francisco. An Eastern-rite Catholic, Dennis first encountered the Jesuits growing up in the Philippines and discovered Ignatian spirituality at USF. (California Province)
