River, 23, is a native of New Richmond, Wisconsin. He graduated with bachelor’s degrees in anthropology and psychology from Loyola University Chicago and was involved in campus ministry. During the summer, he worked as a program co-coordinator at Lake Wapogasset Lutheran Bible Camp. He served in the Colorado Vincentian Volunteers, working at the Urban Peak Education and Employment Center. He enjoys reading, writing, tennis and playing board games.
