His newest book, “Work in Progress: Confessions of a Busboy, Dishwasher, Caddy, Usher, Factory Worker, Bank Teller, Corporate Tool and Priest” is now available. In it, Fr. Martin details his own experience of summer jobs — how they shaped him, what they taught him, who crossed his path as a result of them and how he found God dwelling within them. It’s a memoir that is both funny and poignant, and it’s a wonderful invitation for each of us to reflect more deeply upon our own lives.
